“KALMET” S.A. is headquartered in the Gliwice Subzone of the Katowice Special Economic Zone at Gaudiego Street. The company has been successfully operating in the metal industry since 2000 and is a leading manufacturer of products and equipment for the mining sector.
Since 2007 we have been producing transformer tanks and tapchangers for export and domestic market. Our newest products are: chain link fencing systems and metal containers in different sizes,capacity and shapes, used in transport and storing of products and parts.
Our domestic and foreign customers appreciate mutual cooperation due to our professional engineering personnel, rapid and solid order turnaround and the quality of our products. All the parts of our mining support have the relevant certificates, technical assessments and approvals for use in underground mines issued by competent certifying bodies. Several process lines for manufacturing the parts of mining supports as well as a state-of-art machinery park providing a broad array of services have been developed as part of our investment activity to date. Our technical capacity allows us to offer any pressed, knocked, threaded, turned, rolled and welded products.
Four manufacturing sites with the total floorage of 7500m2 were erected at the area of 3 hectares including roofed storage areas and staff buildings.
We employ about 250 people. As an expanding organisation we focus in particular on enhancing our staff’s professional qualifications by holding various training programmes. The integrated IMPULS IT system was deployed in order to streamline our management processes and, first of all, to facilitate supervision.
KALMET holds ISO 9001 : 2008 Quality Management Certificate up to the European standards awarded in 2009. We have been given credits on several occasions for our efforts with an award for the most dynamic companies - Gazele Biznesu. The positive feedback from our users and the companies we cooperate with also proves the efficiency of our operations and the quality of our products.
