SV25 friction props

A prop made of straight V25 shape sections is a friction prop characterised by the nominal and working bearing capacity allowing to use it for narrow workings in underground mines.

The prop is mainly designed for use as:
  part of the straight prop support,
  additional part reinforcing the arch support,
  additional part for steel or wooden horseheads and roof bars reinforcing the final basic support.

The operating and maintenance manuals include solutions for prop constructions intended for use in static load conditions as well as in dynamic load conditions.

The following types of props can be used for static loads acting on a mining support:
SV25 – with two clamps of SKL25 type,
SV25t – with three clamps of SKL25 type,
SV25tw – with three clamps of SKL25 type, with an additional bottom shackle of SKL25D type and a V25 shape section.

It is recommended to use the following type of stands when dynamic loads occur at the heading originating mainly from rock mass vibrations:
SV25t – with two clamps of SKL25 type,
SV25tw – with three clamps of SKL25 type, with an additional bottom clamp of SKL25D type and a V25 shape section.
